Westfalenpost visits local companies at major trade fair

Ennepe-Ruhr. (WP) When the Hannover Messe closes
its doors today at 6.00 pm, representatives from 18 companies from
Ennepetal, Gevelsberg and Schwelm will also be packing up and heading
back home. The Westfalenpost visited the world's large industrial
trade, which welcomed 7,500 exhibitors, and visited the stands of
local companies.
This is the 50th visit to the trade fair in Hannover
for Otto Vollmann GmbH & Co. KG - and also its last. Following a
decision made by the Deutsche Messe AG, in the coming year installation
and building technology will be having its own platform in Frankfurt.
For the manufacturer of lampholders and lighting based at 98 Rosendahler
Straße in Gevelsberg, this means that in future the company will
be welcoming its customers from Europe, Asia and Australia at a
stand at the "Light and Building" trade fair in the financial metropolis
of Frankfurt am Main. "This is a nostalgic moment for us, which
we celebrated with a party on Friday evening on our exhibition stand,
commented Managing Partner Axel Vollmann, who was also able to put
a positive slant on the move despite feelings of having been "thrown
out" of the event . He described the event as "excellent", better
in fact than in previous years. In the second half of the year,
he expects his company in Gevelsberg to employ a workforce of 80
and to enjoy increased growth - in the face of declining profits
