A "financial boost" was how the chairman of the Deutsches Rotes Kreuz (DRK) Gevelsberg, Thomas Biermann, described the acquisition of a new personnel transporter. After 15 years of service, the old vehicle had given up the ghost; the new transporter can carry up to eight people including the driver.
The purchase of this vehicle has been made possible
through financial donations from Otto Vollman GmbH, the Bauverein
building association and the "Taubenväter" charitable
organization.
Manfred Schwann from Ford-Autobus officially handed
over the ignition key to community Red Cross leader Ronald Menzel
at the weekend. Here's to at least another 15 years.
