Volkswagen Group honors its best suppliers
The Volkswagen Group honored its best suppliers with the “Volkswagen Group Award 2023” in Berlin on July 5. 11 companies were honored in five categories. More than 200 guests from 25 countries traveled to this year’s 19th award ceremony.
Representatives from 160 selected supplier companies attended the event in Berlin. The award was presented in five categories: Innovation, Sustainability, Launch of the Year, Local Performance Champion and Global Performance Champion.
Oliver Blume, Chairman of the Board of Management of the Volkswagen Group, Group Board Member Thomas Schmall, Board Member for Development Michael Steiner and Board Member for Procurement Dirk Große-Loheide presented the 11 awards and thanked each of the best suppliers of the past year for their commitment and cooperation.
Dirk Große-Loheide:
“The automotive industry is undergoing the greatest transformation in its history. It will require us and our suppliers to realign ourselves in many places. We have to shape this path together, and we can only succeed if we live partnership and build a strong innovative network. That is the key to success.”
Dirk Große-Loheide and Thomas Schmall handed over the award to the Vollmann Group in the “Local Performance Champion” category with the following wording:
“It is an honour to present you with the Volkswagen Group Award 2023 in the ‘Local Performance Champion’ category as one of our most important business partners. With this award, we would like to honour the extraordinary performance and outstanding innovative strength of your company with which you have contributed to the success of Volkswagen AG.
You are our valued partner in the body shell construction area. For example, you safeguard the increasing capacities in MEB with your
body assembly. Your commitment and your support have earned our special recognition. As a family-run company, values such as social responsibility and long-term partnerships have a special place within your company. Particularly during challenging times, you put your faith in having long-term perspectives and a strong relationship with your partners, employees and customers.
