This may include IP addresses, contact requests, meta and communication data, contract data, contact details, names, website accesses and other data generated via a website. The host is used in the interest of a secure, fast and efficient provision of our online offer by a professional provider (Art. 6 para. 1 lit. f GDPR). Data security
The Vollmann Group uses technical and organizational security measures to protect the data you provide to the Vollmann Group against accidental or intentional manipulation, loss, destruction or access by unauthorized persons. For example, this site uses SSL or TLS encryption.
Cookies and server log files
For technical reasons, so-called server log files are also created. In these files, the provider stores technical data (e.g. browser type and browser version, operating system used, time of the request, IP address, etc.) that the browser automatically transmits to it. This data is not merged with other data, so that it is not possible to identify individuals.
Our Internet pages also use cookies. Cookies are text files that are placed and stored on a computer system via an Internet browser. The use of cookies enables the websites and servers visited to distinguish the individual browser of the person concerned from others. Some cookies are deleted after a visit to the site, while other cookies are stored permanently. In addition to our cookies, cookies may also originate from third-party companies (third-party cookies). Some cookies are essential for the operation and display of the website and do not collect any personal information. Others, however, make it possible to adapt your site visit to your preferences and user behavior. In this case, we ask for your consent to set these optional cookies when you visit our website for the first time. You can prevent the setting of cookies for all websites by changing the settings of your Internet browser. You can configure your browser settings according to your wishes and, for example, refuse to accept third-party cookies or all cookies. Cookies that have already been set can be deleted again. We would like to point out that you may then not be able to use all the functions of this website.
TeamViewer
The Vollmann Group uses the screensharing tool TeamViewer from TeamViewer Germany GmbH, Bahnhofsplatz 2, 73033 Göppingen, Germany. The tool can be used to provide you with internal support. To do this, download the TeamViewer software under “VG internal”. Using this software, responsible Vollmann Group employees can connect to your PC or server to provide the support you have requested. The connection runs via TeamViewer GmbH servers.
Further information on data processing and security when using TeamViewer can be found here:

OpenStreetMap
We use the OpenStreetMap (OSM) map service.
We integrate the map material from OpenStreetMap on the server of the OpenStreetMap Foundation, St John’s Innovation Center, Cowley Road, Cambridge, CB4 0WS, United Kingdom. The United Kingdom is considered a safe third country under data protection law. This means that Great Britain has a level of data protection that corresponds to the level of data protection in the European Union. When using the OpenStreetMap maps, a connection is established to the servers of the OpenStreetMap Foundation. Among other things, your IP address and other information about your behavior on this website may be forwarded to the OSMF. For this purpose, OpenStreetMap may store cookies in your browser or use comparable recognition technologies.
The use of OpenStreetMap is in the interest of an appealing presentation of our online offers and an easy findability of the places indicated by us on the website. This constitutes a legitimate interest within the meaning of Art. 6 para. 1 lit. f GDPR. If a corresponding consent has been requested, the processing is carried out exclusively on the basis of Art. 6 para. 1 lit. a GDPR and § 25 para. 1 TDDDG, insofar as the consent includes the storage of cookies or access to information in the user’s terminal device (e.g. device fingerprinting) within the meaning of the TTDSG. Consent can be revoked at any time.
Social media
We create online presences within social networks in order to communicate with the interested parties and users active there and to be able to inform them about us. This is a legitimate interest within the meaning of Art. 6 para. 1 lit. f GDPR.
User data may be processed by the operator of the social media portal (service provider) outside the European Union. This may result in risks for users because, for example, it could make it more difficult to enforce users’ rights. In the following, we inform you about the processing of your personal data carried out by us in the context of the online presences provided by us. In its ruling of June 5, 2018, the ECJ confirmed the joint responsibility of the service provider and the website operator.
The social media page you visit offers you the opportunity to respond to our posts, comment on them, create a user post yourself and send us private messages with personal requests. The data you provide in this context and which may be accessible to us (e.g. user name, images, interests, contact details) will be used by us exclusively for the purpose of communicating with customers and interests. Our interest lies in offering you a platform on which we can display current information and with the help of which you can address your request to us and we can respond to your request as quickly as possible. We also use social plugins on our websites for the social networks we use. You can recognize the plugins of the respective providers by their logo. When you visit a page with such a plugin, the operator of the service is informed which pages you visit. User profiles can be created from the processed data. We therefore have no influence on the scope of the data that an activated plugin collects and how it is used by the provider. If you are logged into your social media account and visit our social media presence, the service provider can assign this visit to your user account. To allow this data transfer only after you have given your consent. The so-called “Shariff buttons” ensure that no connection is established with the servers of the service providers when a page of our website containing such plugins is accessed. Your browser only establishes a direct connection to the servers when you click the button and thereby give your consent to data transmission.
We do not process any other data apart from the basic functions of the website. Please note, however, that the service provider may use tracking tools and cookies independently of our use of the site and that data may be collected even if you are not logged in or do not have an account with the respective social media portal.
For a detailed description of the respective processing and the opt-out options, please refer to the information provided by the providers we use. In the case of requests for information and the assertion of user rights, we would also like to point out that these can be asserted most effectively with the providers. Only the providers have access to the users’ data and can take appropriate measures and provide information directly. If you still need help, you can contact us.

How to apply
You can submit your application by post, by e-mail (karriere@vollmann-group.com) or via our career portal https://karriere.vollmann-group.com. If you apply to us, we will process the information we receive from you as part of the application process, e.g. letter of application, CV, references, etc.
Your data will initially be processed exclusively for the purpose of carrying out the application process and deciding on an employment relationship. The legal basis for this processing of your personal data is Section 26 (1) BDSG. If your application is successful, your personal data will become part of your personnel file. All applications will remain with us for up to 6 months after completion of the selection process and will then be permanently deleted or returned to you in full. If it is clear that the data will be required after the 6 months have expired, e.g. due to an (impending) legal dispute, it will be deleted if it is no longer required for the respective purpose. In the event that your application has aroused our interest but we are currently unable to offer you a position, we will request your express consent to store your applicant data in our applicant pool for a longer period of time so that we can consider you for future vacancies. In this case, Art. 6 para. 1 lit. a GDPR applies as the legal basis for the longer storage period. This consent can be revoked at any time.
Unsolicited applications are stored by us indefinitely and added directly to our applicant pool so that we can consider them as soon as a corresponding vacancy arises. You can object to this storage at any time.
Your personal data will only be collected or processed by persons who are responsible for processing the application. If you apply for a position at one of our group companies, your data will be transmitted to this company for this purpose.
We use the applicant management software “softgarden” from softgarden e-recruiting GmbH, Tauentzienstraße 14, 10789 Berlin (“career portal”) to process and store applicant data. Via the career portal on our website, applicants enter the necessary data in an input mask and upload their application documents. Before sending the application, a declaration of consent to data storage must be submitted. Once the application has been sent, it is transmitted to the service provider and transferred to the internal database. The HR department initially has access to this database and can involve the relevant parties in the company in the selection process by approving it. You can find the privacy policy of our recruiting software provider at softgarden.
Duration for which the personal data is stored
The criterion for the duration of the storage of personal data is the respective statutory retention period. Once this period has expired, the corresponding data is routinely deleted, provided it is no longer required for the fulfillment or initiation of a contract. If you send us an e-mail via the contact form, your e-mails will be received by the relevant mailboxes and archived there indefinitely. Your data for the newsletter will be used by us until your revocation in order to keep you informed about news. Your data stored in the course of using our online presence will – as far as possible – be deleted when the site is closed down.
Rights of data subjects
You have the right to obtain information about your data stored by us and the purpose of storage at any time in accordance with Art. 15 GDPR. You can revoke your consent to the storage or use of your personal data in writing at any time. In addition, you have the right to object to processing based on legitimate interest, Art. 21 GDPR. In addition to the revocation, you have the right to demand the correction (Art. 16 GDPR) as well as the restriction of processing (Art. 18 GDPR) and blocking or deletion of your data (Art. 17 GDPR). You have the right to contact the relevant supervisory authority (for NRW: the State Commissioner for Data Protection and Freedom of Information of North Rhine-Westphalia in Düsseldorf) for complaints in accordance with Art. 77 GDPR. You also have the right to receive the data you have provided in a machine-readable format for transmission.
If you have any questions regarding the processing of your personal data, you can also contact us directly (responsible body: see imprint). For all questions and requests for information, applications or complaints, you can also contact our external data protection officers directly.
