Lauter-BernsbachOre Mountains

In January 2022, the Vollmann Group took over the GMT (glass mat reinforced thermoplastic) business of Meleghy Automotive in Lauter-Bernsbach (Saxony). This transaction means a further expansion of our product range, as this plant is a centre of excellence for hybrid and lightweight construction technology in the Ore Mountains. Crash-relevant GMT components with a polypropylene or polyamide matrix are manufactured here on 3,600 square metres of production space. These parts are often used in hybrid or electric vehicles due to their low weight in combination with their very good mechanical properties.
